Write First, Then Think – Rebuilding My Writing Habit

writing habit by focusing on consistency over perfection.

Writing Habit. and why I Stopped Writing

The biggest reason I stopped blogging on WordPress?
Honestly—it just felt like a hassle.

More than anything, I couldn’t decide what to write about.
Should I focus on getting views? Or just write what I want?
Even thinking about that felt exhausting at times.
Some days, I just sat in front of the screen, doing nothing.

I really admire people who can write every single day.
(Of course, I don’t mean those who write for work—if it’s your job, you have to write.)

The Blog Name Meant Something

I named this blog “yourfirstkorea” for a reason.
My long-term dream is to live in Central Asia or Northern Europe after reaching financial independence.
I want to write while living close to nature—
and introduce Korean language and culture to the world, even in small ways.

This blog was supposed to be a part of that future.
A place for honest writing about Korea.
Now? It’s just a neglected homepage.
I haven’t even been using it like a personal journal.

Before You Choose a Topic—Just Write

As I mentioned in my last post,
writing needs to become a habit again.

I’ve realized it’s not about choosing the “right” topic.
It’s about sitting down and doing the work.
Just showing up and writing.

Because whatever kind of writing I need to do to reach my goals,
it all starts with this: writing something now.
