Why I Started My WordPress Writing Habit
Restarting my WordPress writing habit in 2023 felt exciting.
I had taken time off for parental leave to care for my daughter, and during that period, I wanted to do something meaningful for myself.
Although I already had a Naver blog, I longed for a space that felt more like me—clean, independent, and purpose-driven.
That space was WordPress.
I admired how others could share their thoughts and values through blogging and build a community around their voice.
And I thought, maybe I could do that too.
What Got in the Way
But I soon realized: writing isn’t the hard part—consistency is.
At first, I wrote regularly. It felt therapeutic, like holding a mirror up to my life.
But as time passed, I got distracted.
Work, parenting, and fatigue became my excuses.
I slowly drifted away from the habit, and eventually… I stopped altogether.
It wasn’t that I had nothing to say.
I simply stopped showing up.
Ironically, I was still paying for everything—domain, hosting, tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney—but barely using them.
I kept telling myself I had no time. But deep down, I knew the truth:
“I don’t have time” was just a dressed-up excuse for “I don’t feel like it.”
Why I’m Starting Again(WordPress writing habit)
Now that my daughter is in daycare and I’m back at work,
it’s clear to me: I need to start writing again.
Not because someone told me to.
Not because I need an audience.
But because writing is how I find clarity.
It’s how I process emotions, evaluate my values, and stay on track toward my goals.
The Power of Consistency
This time, I’m not aiming for perfection or instant results.
I just want to build a rhythm again—one post at a time.
Because blogging isn’t just a hobby.
It’s one of the few habits that truly helps me reflect, grow, and move forward with purpose.
So, here I am.
Recommitting to my WordPress writing habit, and hoping this time, I’ll stay for the long haul.
